Speaking and Workshops
Critical Quantitative Methods and Queer Studies in Education
I am available to speak on topics related to critical quantitative methods as well as queer studies in education. Below are examples of different possibilities. If you want to talk details or work to schedule, simply send an email using the button at the top of this page.
Course Guest Lecture/VisitIf you are teaching a course where students are reading from one of my books, or from my articles or chapters on critical methodologies or queer studies, I am happy to join as a guest. I can join for a discussion or Q&A type of session. In limited cases, I can also do a guest lecture on topics I have taught or about which I have given presentations. While my availability for this is somewhat limited, I do not charge for guest lectures in courses where my work has been assigned.

Talks/PresentationsI am available to give talks or presentations on critical quantitative methods, and queer quantitative methods. In general, my focus will be on educational research, but I can also speak to behavioral and psychological research methods. I can join by Zoom or other distance technology, or arrange an in-person talk or presentation.

WorkshopsI am also available to lead workshops related to my research and critical quantitative methods. I have facilitated workshops in the past on approaches to demographic data collection, approaches to data analysis, queer-affirming classroom practices, and specific quantitative approaches (e.g., MA-CFA, QuantQueer, QuantCrit, hierarchical cluster analysis).
